So my summer "holiday" this year was 3 weeks running internet cafes at the World Scout Jamboree at Hylands Park in Essex.  It was hard work - 16 hour shifts most days combined with occasional night shifts plus trying to find time to get out and see the camp - but I had a fantastic time.

Met lots of cool people and even appeared on the radio - both Promise FM, the Jamboree radio station, and BBC World Service! Sweden in four years time should be good fun - the theme is "Simply Scouting" which apparently doesn't mean "Back to Basics"!

Wish I hadn't chosen that title for today - I can't get the Jamboree song out my head!
